School tour fun in the Wild West!

We went on our school tour on Friday June 17th to the Wild West play centre in Westport. We had so much fun! There was great excitement as the buses arrived to collect us.
When we arrived at the Wild West we had a little snack and then we got to play! There were loads of fun things to do ther,e with football and the disco room being the biggest hits!
All that playing was hard work so everyone really enjoyed their lunch. We stopped off at the playground on the way home now but our visit was short because of the rain. Here are some pictures from the day.......

Sports Day 2016

We had a fantastic day on Sports Day and really enjoyed the beautiful sunshine. We took part in lots of races- egg and spoon, sack race, teddy bear relay and obstacle course. We had not one, not two but three bouncy castles to play on!!! We also practised our basketball skills and played with the parachute. The highlight of the day for most of the boys was enjoying a yummy ice cream cone in the sunshine, have a look at us all ready for sports day......

Learning about capacity

This week we have been learning all about capacity in our Maths lessons. We did some measuring in our groups and had to estimate how many cupfuls of water would fit into different containers. It was lots of fun! Take a look at the pictures!

We have also been working hard during our art lessons. We made some dinosaurs and decorated them and used clothes pegs for the legs! We also made some ladybirds and bees!

Mitchels Parade and Easter egg hunt

Hello everyone,

We have had a very busy few weeks here in Senior Infants. On Wednesday March 16th, we dressed up in red and yellow in support of the Castlebar Mitchels who are playing in the All Ireland Club football final on St Patrick's Day in Croke Park. We marched around town with our school band and lots of other local schools were marching too. It was so much fun!
When we came back to school, we couldnt believe our luck when we discovered that the Easter bunny had visited the playground and left some treats especially for us! Take a look at the pictures.....
